WEAVERVILLE—Judith Fuller King of 11 John King Rd., died Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
Mrs. King was born March 17, 1937 in Swain Co. and was a resident of Buncombe Co. for most of her life. She retired from the Department of Social Services after 20 years of service. Judith had a great love of nature and flowers. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Novella Johnson Fuller. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dewey A. King who died in 2007.
Surviving are her daughters, Sharon K. Buchanan and husband G.T. "Buck" of Weaverville, Barbara K. Black and husband Ty of Burnsville, Rachel King and husband Dan Krautkramer of Chicago, Ill. and Ann King of the home; sister, Flora Fuller Taylor of Asheville; brother, Larry Fuller of Bakersville; grandchildren, Ted Farmer, Jr., Kelli B. Buckner, Brent Farmer, Clint Farmer, Jordan King and Kacy Buchanan and great grandchildren, Libi Farmer, Hanna Farmer, Madison Farmer, Will Buckner, Ethan Farmer, Hope Buckner and Alex Farmer.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009 in Ivy Park Cemetery, Weaverville with Rev. William Robertson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
At other times the family will be at the residence where they will also greet friends following the graveside service.
