Julie Johnson Coughlin

WEAVERVILLE—Julie Johnson Coughlin, 54, left her earthly garden to join the Great Garden Party in the Sky on July 21, 2012. Born November 26, 1957, Julie called Asheville home for the majority of her life, adventuring Appalachia and across the globe at every given chance. As a teaching assistant at North Buncombe Elementary School, Julie loved and was loved by all, leaving a trail of joy in her wake. She was the daughter of Raymond M. Johnson and the late Helen Marie Johnson. Julie is survived by her husband, Pat Coughlin; son, Sean Coughlin; sisters, Lynn Hunt and Karen Kishimoto. A celebration of Julie's life will be held Saturday the 28th at the Education Center of the N.C. Arboretum from 1-4 p.m. with the memorial sharing at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Julie Coughlin memorial fund at Telco Credit Union.
