WEAVERVILLE – June Eller Parker, age 86, of Weaverville, died Friday, March 12, 2021.
Mrs. Parker was born June 5, 1934 in Buncombe County to the late Woodfin and Cora Hill Eller; she was a resident of Buncombe County all of her life. June loved to volunteer with North Buncombe Samaritan Ministries, and was a member of First Born Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Buck” Parker who died in 2014; three sisters, Mildred Herron, Mary Anders, and Genieve Eller; and two brothers, Don and Dan Eller.
Surviving is her son, Dennis Parker and wife Denise; a sister-in-law, Almeta Kirstein; two granddaughters, Holly Scott and husband Jeff, and Julie Campen and husband Scott; and a great grandchild, Lexi Campen.
Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 14, 2021 in Pleasant Grove Union Church Cemetery, Weaverville. Reverends Jerry Jamerson and Michael McGuire will officiate.
For those who wish to pay their respects, Mrs. Parker will be available for viewing between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday March 13, 2021 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville. The family will not be present.
Per the NC Governor, masks are required.
