Kate June Carver

WEAVERVILLE/ERWIN, TN—Kate June Carver, age 75, of Erwin, TN, died Sunday, March 4, 2012. Miss Carver was born August 30, 1936 in Madison County to the late Albert and Minnie Cody Carver. She was formerly employed at Vanderbilt Shirt Company and later at Mills Manufacturing. She was a former member of Laurel Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Maxine Carver. Surviving are her sisters, Glenna Bates, of Fairview, Rosa Lee Edwards of Erwin, TN, and Jean Sexton of Leicester; brothers, Charles Patrick Carver, John, Howard, Bobby and Vernon Carver all of Mars Hill. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, with Rev. J. R. Plemmons officiating. Burial will be in Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery, Mars Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service.
