KEITH HENSLEY
BARNARDSVILLE—Keith Hensley, age 60, of 3 Pierson Creek Road, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
Keith was born May 7, 1948 in Buncombe County and was a resident of Oxon Hill, Maryland about 20 years before returning home in 1974. He started his work as a sheet metal mechanic and later became an auto mechanic. Keith was owner and operator of Hensley's Auto in the Flat Creek Community. He loved hunting, fishing, stock car racing and bluegrass music. He was the son of the late Harry and Opal Smith Hensley.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Pat K. Hensley; son, Charlie Hensley and wife Robin; grandson, Pierson Hensley and sister, Glenda Slaughter all of Barnardsville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville with the Rev. Dean Metcalf officiating. Lynn Hensley will be giving the eulogy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
At other times the family will be at the residence.
