KENNETH "KEN" BAILEY MARS HILL - Kenneth "Ken" Bailey, age 74 of Mars Hill died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Bailey was born January 2, 1941 in Nassau County, NY to Delma Fochi Bailey and the late Jack Kenneth Bailey. He had been a resident of Mars Hill since 1988. Ken retired from the State of New York after 27 years of service to return home. He enjoyed retirement, loved the mountains, spending time with his family and farming and was always there to help, a friend to all. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Bailey who died in 2013; two daughters, Bonnie Grecsek and Karen Bailey; and two sons, Kenneth "Kewi" Bailey and Patrick Bailey. Surviving in addition to his mother are his daughter, Deborah DeCarlo; son, Anthony "TJ" Bailey; sisters, Audry Bailey, Jackie Stafford, Eleanor Collazo; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many extended family members. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the home.
