Kenneth D. Fowler

WEAVERVILLE – Kenneth D. Fowler, age 79, of Weaverville, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Kenneth was born October 2, 1940 in Buncombe County to the late Ted Ellis and Elsie Irene Fore Fowler.

He was a US Navy veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. Kenneth retired from the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Concerned Bikers Association and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he was past president.

Surviving are his wife, Sherie Austin Fowler; nephew, Jeffrey Fowler and wife Susan and their children, Gabby and Teddy.

A private graveside service will be held in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, with Rev. Roger Boone officiating. West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
