Krystal Ray Davis (Fender)

Krystal Ray Davis (Fender), age 49, of Weaverville, won her battle and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born on March 18, 1974, in Buncombe County to parents Steve A. Ray and the late Alberta May Coker, Krystal lived in Buncombe County most of her life.

Krystal was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her whole world revolved around her daughters, grandchild, and dog.  Her contagious smile and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her. We pray that the legacy she left behind may continue to inspire kindness in everyone's hearts as we all remember this wonderful woman who graced our lives with such warmth and positivity.  She attended Connection Point Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her mother Alberta Coker; grandparents, Harold and Kathleen Ray, and Louis and Dorothy Coker; and Joyce Fender, a special loved one.

Surviving are her daughters, Samantha Crosby (Derek) and Mykayla Fender; grandchild, Riley; spouse, Keith Davis; step-children, Ashley, Dalton (Alyssa) and Hailey Davis; step-grandchild, Blakley; father and step-mother Steve Ray, Sr. and Carol; brothers, Steve Ray, Jr. (Sandy), Matthew Ray and Michael Ray (Rachel); niece, Taylor Shelton and Liana Ray; father of her children, Dewayne Fender; her beloved dog, Oreo; and many more special loved ones.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with the Reverend Stan Asher officiating.  Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.  Visitation services for Krystal will be held on Friday May 12th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at West Funeral Home.
