Lane Lavon Ramsey

ASHEVILLE – Lane Lavon Ramsey, age 85, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Lane was born July 8, 1939, in Buncombe County where he had lived all his life. He was born to the late Clarence and Chassie Jackson Ramsey. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Smith Ramsey to whom he was married 55 years. 

Surviving is: _, Chris Ramsey and wife Dawn, and Allen Ramsey and wife Susan; grandchildren, Hannah and Eli.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Scott Shields and Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park, Weaverville.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
