LEONARD H. COPESTICK WEAVERVILLE - Leonard H. Copestick, age 91, of Weaverville and formerly of Newell, WV died Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Mr. Copestick was born in Hancock County, WV where he had lived most of his life. He was son of the late Major Scott and Nellie Mae Covert Copestick. Mr. Copestick was a member of VFW and a life member of the Lions Club; he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was a member of Newell Presbyterian Church and had retired from Westinghouse. Surviving are his daughter, Mary Jane Cooper and husband Stephen of Weaverville; sister, Delores Martin of Mesa, AZ; grandsons, Brian and Blake Cooper of Weaverville. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Arner Funeral Chapel, 607 Carolina Ave., Chester, WV with Reverend Mark Wilds officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, East Liverpool, OH. West Funeral Home, Weaverville, NC and Arner Funeral Chapel are in charge of arrangements. Flowers are welcome.
