Lillian Larrabee

LILLIAN LARRABEE ASHEVILLE - Lillian Larrabee, 96, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 9, 2014 of complications from a fall in her garden. Lillian and her late husband Pete retired to North Asheville 15 years ago. She was active with the College for Seniors. She was an avid gardener and reader, and loved her discussion and writing groups in Asheville. She and Pete married in 1950; her career was as a librarian in New Jersey public schools and at Princeton University. She is survived by a son Richard and a daughter Lydia and their spouses Louise and Bob, and 3 grandchildren, Diane, Charles and Rob. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
