Lillie Anne Moore Lyda

Lillie Ann Moore Lyda, age 84, of Weaverville, went to be with the Lord peacefully Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Mrs. Lyda was born to the late Walter and Floye Stillwell Moore. Lillie was a graduate of Bee Log High School in Yancey County. She was a resident of Yancey and Buncombe Counties for most of her life.

Lillie was a longtime employee of Kellwood Manufacturing as a seamstress. She later worked in patient services at Mission Hospital. Lillie love to sew, cook, garden, and to go fishing. She was a caring and loving person who will greatly be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband Billy Eugene Lyda;  daughter-in-law, Beverly Lyda; and all of her siblings except for brother, Coy Moore.

Surviving are her son, Danny Lyda; brother, Coy Moore and his wife Darlene “Dolly”; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Lyda, Jennifer Michelle Lyda, and Stephen Daniel Lyda; and great-grandchildren, Caiden, Mikha, Malikhi, and Kylie.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Kent Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Sky View Memorial Park, Asheville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
