ASHEVILLE – Linda Jamison Lowman, age 73, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born on January 28, 1950 in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Earl Andrew and Mildred Monteith Jamison. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Tony Philmore Lowman; a twin sister, Brenda Sue Jamison; and a brother, Larry “Tootie” Jamison. She is survived by her daughter, Christy White (Dale); sisters, Nell Parris, Sandra Hinson (Jimmy); brothers, Kenneth Earl Jamison (Joanna) and Harold Jamison (Darlene); granddaughter, Kelsie Harwood; great-granddaughter, Paislee Masters; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda had a bright and energetic personality. She embraced life with a passion that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Linda was not just a fan of WWE wrestling; she was its most devoted enthusiast. With unwavering dedication, she never missed a single night of wrestling, celebrating every triumph and commiserating every defeat with her beloved wrestling stars.
Beyond her wrestling passion, Linda's heart was always full of love for her family. She cherished spending quality time with her loved ones, creating memories that will forever be cherished. Whether it was reading, watching game shows, camping, cooking with her siblings, or attending wrestling matches and conventions, she relished every moment of togetherness.
For over two decades, Linda dedicated herself to the education of young minds as a devoted teacher's assistant at Weaverville Primary School. Her commitment to nurturing and guiding the next generation was a testament to her compassionate spirit.
As we say our farewells, we remember Linda Jamison Lowman for the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the countless lives she touched. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm prior to the service.
