Linda Jo Ponder Dillingham

WEAVERVILLE—Linda Jo Ponder Dillingham, age 65, of 166 Stockton Rd., died Sunday, January 13, 2013. Mrs. Dillingham was born February 21, 1947, in Buncombe County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She retired from Microswitch after 28-1/2 years of service. Linda enjoyed working at Mars Hill Retirement Community for seven years. She was of Christian faith. She was a daughter of the late Leonard and Jorene Edmonds Ponder. Surviving are her husband, Johnny G. Dillingham; daughter, Deanna Ponder and husband Darrell of Mars Hill; sisters, Jennifer Roberts and husband Lynn and Wilma Forster and husband Johnnie, all of Weaverville; brothers, Leland "Buddy" Ponder and wife Joan of Arden, Terryl Ponder and wife Karen of Leicester, Derryl Ponder and wife Tami of Weaverville; grandchildren, Ashley English and Amber Skantz; and great grandchild, John Michael English. Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013, in Clark's Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
