Linda Buckner Reavis, age 68, of Weaverville, died Monday October 9, 2017. Mrs. Reavis was born April 7, 1949 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Linda was a very caring person. She worked at Square D and retired from Micro Switch, she then worked as a care giver for several years. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and the Ladies Friendship Class, she loved her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Noah and Elizabeth Justice Buckner; sisters, Wilma Sue Buckner and Wanda Arrington; brother, Ralph Buckner, Jr. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Weldon Reavis; son, Mark Reavis and wife Tina; sisters, Mary Jo Smith and husband Howell and Carolyn Evans and husband Delane; sister-in-law Ruby Buckner Robinson; brother-in-law Earl Arrington; grandson Corey Edmonds and great granddaughter, Nadia Edmonds; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Locust Grove Baptist Church, 305 Locust Grove Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787, with Pastors Ben Whitmire, Walter Ponder, Ronald Roberts and Reverend D. Harry Culbertson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday October 10, 2017 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank Care Partners Hospice and her niece, Pam Chandler, for their care.
