LINDA KAY WHITEHEAD WOODFIN - Linda Kay Whitehead, age 63 of 82 B Pelzer Street went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 28, 2014. Linda was born May 30, 1951 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was formerly employed as a school bus driver and worked in the lunchroom at Woodfin Elementary School. Linda enjoyed arts and crafts and going to the beach. Surviving are her sons, Jon Dellinger and wife Tonya of Florence, SC and Erek Whitehead of Asheville; mother, Doris Rathburn Dorsey of Woodfin; sister, Carolyn Dorsey Wallace of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Jade Dickson and Ciara Dellinger and cousin, Ray Rathburn whom she loved as a brother. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Elk Mountain Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with Reverend Mike Woodard officiating.
