Liston Doan

LISTON DOAN WEAVERVILLE – Liston Doan, age 73 of 3 South Main Street, Ext. died Monday, May 30, 2016. Liston was born August 14, 1942 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was a “jack of all trades”, an avid reader and he loved his garden, fishing and the outdoors. Liston was a son of the late Ken and Dora Sharpe Doan; and husband of the late Bernice Shell Doan, who died in 2007. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Charles David Doan and Stan Doan. Surviving are his daughter, Toni Doan Sawyer and husband Michael; son, Larry Doan and wife Teresa; sisters, Lucille Rogers and Rhoda Moore, all of Weaverville; grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Kasey, and Jayme Sawyer, and Shelby Doan. A family memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the home of Larry and Teresa Doan, 380 Reems Creek Rd., Weaverville.
