LOIS DEBRUHL ATKINS
WEAVERVILLE – Lois DeBruhl Atkins, age 95, of 700 Barnardsville Hwy, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Mrs. Atkins was born September 11, 1921 in Buncombe County. She was retired from Honeywell. She was a member of Morgan Hill Baptist Church and was a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Sprinkles DeBruhl. Also preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years, Gerald C. Atkins, Sr., who died in 2008; son, Ray Atkins; brothers, Byron DeBruhl, Z.V. DeBruhl, Tilson DeBruhl; sisters, Ruby Doris DeBruhl, Wauline Riddle, Johnnie Smith.
Surviving are her sons, Jerry Atkins and wife Terri, Bruce Atkins and wife Cheryl all of Weaverville, Kevin Atkins of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Stewart Atkins and wife Karen, Harmony Fox and husband Jason, Cortney Atkins, and Leigha Crum and husband Patrick; great grandchildren, Isabella Fontaine, Keenan Fox, Hadley Crum.
Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville, with Reverend Larry Sprinkle officiating.
The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
