Lois Walker Johnson
Lois Dean Walker Johnson departed this life on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the age of 91 years and 21 days. She was born in Carter County, Oklahoma on January 2, 1925, the daughter of the late David Brown and Maud Porterfield Walker.
Lois was a bookkeeper for Johnson Hardware, and had lived in Weaverville, North Carolina and Hardin County, Tennessee for about 75 years. She loved growing flowers and writing. She was a member of the Barnhill United Methodist Church.
She is survived her son, Donald Johnson and wife, Barbara of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kenneth Johnson and wife, Jolynn of Ooltewah, Tennessee, and Paul D. Johnson and wife, Mary of Barnardsville, North Carolina; sister, Annie Gail Johnson of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Douglas Johnson, David Johnson, Amy Johnson, Jennifer Parris and husband, Jamie, Julie Johnson, Jamey Johnson, and Emma Johnson; great grandchildren, Ella Parris, Will Parris, and Cora Parris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Johnson on February 20, 2010; a daughter, Cheryl Johnson; brothers, Graham Walker and Brown Walker; sisters, Chrystal Harville and Mildred Counce.
