Lois Willis Sherlin

LOIS WILLIS SHERLIN WEAVERVILLE – Lois Willis Sherlin, age 80, formerly of Sheila Lane, Weaverville died Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Mrs. Sherlin was born October 12, 1935 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Geter and Genevieve Carr Willis and wife of the late James Eugene Sherlin who died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Mundy; grandson, Noah Morgan; and brother, Junior Willis. Surviving are her daughter, Darlene Morgan and husband Randy; sons, James Eugene Sherlin, Jr. and wife Vicky, and David Keith Sherlin and wife Glenda; sisters, Nancy Hyder, Lorene Cogdill, and Judy Waddel; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Robert Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome.
