ASHEVILLE – Lois Helen Silver, age 83, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 5, 2022.
Mrs. Silver was born September 3, 1938, in Yancey County to the late Frellon and Thelma Reavis; she was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Lois was a seamstress for over 20 years at Connie Fashions. She was a member of The Golden Gals at Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was a loyal member. She enjoyed watching westerns, cooking for her family was a joy and will be missed. Lois loved animals especially her dogs who kept her company. She never met a stranger, was very open and easy to get to know. She was a sharp dresser and loved wearing jewelry.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Foy Dee Silver to whom she was married 33 years; her daughter, Betty Heatherly; and granddaughter Tiffany Fultz; sister, Shirley Corn; and brothers, Doug, Vernon and Bill Reavis.
Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Boggs; sons, Ronnie Silver and wife Mollie, and Chris Silver; five grandchildren, Dedi Nguyen and husband Johnny; Kenny Boggs and wife Leighanne; Daniel Leach and wife Nia; Tokowa Silver, and Mollie Claire Kendall; and six great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kaidyn, C.J., Carmen, Tracie, and Janix.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate her life at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Alexander. Reverends Eddie Rice, Roy McPeters, and Harold Rash will officiate. Burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville with Reverend Allen Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30- 2:30pm.
