ASHEVILLE—Lola Frisbee "Granny" Lunsford, 88, of Brickyard Rd., died Monday, June 27, 2011. Mrs. Lunsford was born September 9, 1922, in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was formerly employed by Dr. Riley Reeves for 18 years. She was a member of Little Sandy United Methodist Church. Lola was a daughter of the late Alfred and Mollie Wells Frisbee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Lunsford who died in 1972; sister, Edna Chauncey; brothers, Fred Frisbee, Willard Frisbee, and Letch Frisbee. Surviving are her caregivers, Betty Chauncey and Shirley Willis and her husband J.C; and additional nieces and nephews. Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 30, 2011, in Little Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery, Leicester. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. The family would like to thank the staff on the 400 Hall of the Brian Center, Weaverville.
