Louisa Ramsey Peek

ASHEVILLE—Louisa Ramsey Peek, 85, of 20 Stratford Drive, went home to be with the Lord Saturday May 10, 2008. Mrs. Peek was born January 30, 1923 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. Louisa retired from A-B Emblem Co. She was the daughter of the late Ossie M and Ida Doan Ramsey. Louisa was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus H. Peek, who died in 1998. Surviving is her daughter, Linda Ponder of Asheville; sons, Dean Peek, Dennis Peek, Edward "Red" Peek all of Asheville, Jeff Peek of Barnardsville, Larry Peek of Asheville and Robert Peek of Weaverville; sister, Ruth Hyman of Asheville; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with the Reverend Worth G. Emory officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Linda Ponder, 41 Laurel Terrace, Asheville, NC 28804. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
