Louise Fisher Collins

ARDEN – Louise Fisher Collins, age 89, of Arden, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 24, 2023.  She was born on February 9, 1934, in Madison County.  She was a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. 

Mrs. Collins lived a life focused on her family; raising her children, being a loving mother, loving those around her and providing for them with her excellent cooking she learned coming from a family of cooks.  In her last days, everyone at her nursing home loved her due to her sweet nature.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Leonard and Ella Buckner Fisher; husband, Floyd A. Collins; her children, Sharon Ray and Terry Collins; siblings, Mary Catherine Cheek, Ruth Tompkins and Tommy Fisher.  She is survived by daughter, Brenda Lea Watson and husband, David, of Black Mountain; son, Morris Collins of Marshall; brother, Jimmy Fisher of Marshall; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Sprouse officiating.  Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
