BARNARDSVILLE—Louise Ross Worley, age 81, of 415 Dillingham Road died Saturday, January 15, 2011.
Mrs. Worley was born February 13, 1929 in Haywood County and was a resident of Buncombe County for the past 48 years, retiring from Mills Mfg. Co. after 38 years. Mrs. Worley was a member of Carson's Chapel Baptist Church. Louise dearly loved her flowers and gardening. She was the daughter of the late Roy Ross, Sr. and Amanda Henson Ross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Worley who died in 2004; as well as her twin sister, Clara Swanger; sister, Geneva Smart and brother, Brown Ross.
Surviving is her daughter, Lou Anne Rogers and husband Kenny of Mills River; son, Charles Worley and wife Peggy of Barnardsville; sisters, Ruby Boyd of Haywood County and Betty Buckner of Etowah; brothers, Roy Ross, Jr., Ben Ross, Ralph Dean Ross and Taylor Ross all of Haywood County; grandchildren, Kaley and Johnathon Rogers and Shawn and Felicia Worley and great grandson, Kyler Worley.
Mrs. Worley's funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. David Crowder and Rev. Dale Banks officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 on Tuesday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
