Lucille Ralston

ASHEVILLE - Lucille Ralston went to be with the Lord March 20, 2013. She was 98 years of age and would have been 99 two weeks later on April 7. Mrs. Ralston was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Ralston; son, John David; and eight brothers and sisters. She was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was survived by a daughter, Micki Newton and husband Fred of Asheville; two grandchildren, Fred III and wife Sherri of Hilton Head, S.C., and Karen Kafarey and husband Jerry of Nashville, Tenn.; six great granddaughters, Brooke, Haley, Melissa, Monica, Michelle, and Sarah, all of Hilton Head, S.C.; two great grandsons, Brennan and Preston of Nashville, Tenn. A memorial was held at Aston Park on April 22, 2013. The family would like to thank everyone at Aston Park for the excellent care, love and support given to Lucille. She loved you all, loved to laugh and was always a very positive person. Private graveside rites were held at Lewis Memorial Park.
