LYNN "DIT" BUCKNER BARNARDSVILLE - Lynn "Dit" Buckner, age 79, of 1392 Dillingham Road went to join Jesus in his heavenly home, Saturday, May 30, 2015. Lynn is remembered for his laughter, fun loving spirited sense of humor and willing heart to help others. A lifelong resident of Barnardsville, he was born September 30, 1935 to the late Preston and Ethel Rice Buckner. He was the owner and operator of Buckner Grocery and Service in Barnardsville for over 38 years. He was also preceded to heaven by his son, Edward Buckner and his sister, Monell, and her husband Ken. Surviving are his wife, Leona Dillingham Buckner; daughter, Susan; sister, Lorraine, her husband Carlos; brothers, Kenneth "Sam" and David; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His memorial service and receiving of friends will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Dillingham Presbyterian Church, 16 Stoney Fork Road, Barnardsville.
