M. Jean Tesner Clark

ASHEVILLE—M. Jean Tesner Clark, age 76, of 95 Elkmont Drive died Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Jean was born June 24, 1934, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a daughter of the late William Clyde and Florence Evelyn Bradley Tesner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Nelle T. Hyatt and Shirley Crisp. Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Diane Stephenson and Brenda Kay Rice, both of Asheville; granddaughters, Brandy Burchum and husband Joe, and Ashley Gunter; great grandson, Zane Burchum; sisters, Frances Burrell of Almond, Kathleen Hensley of Asheville, Irene Robinson, Carolyn Sprouse and Libby Rice, all of Weaverville. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Sonia Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
