Mae Pegg Mullinax

WEAVERVILLE - Mae Pegg Mullinax age 90, of Weaverville, died Friday October 13, 2017. Mrs. Mullinax was born December 25, 1926 in Buncombe County where she had lived most of her life. She was a loving homemaker, enjoyed quilting and had previously worked as a CNA. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Mae loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Tilda Roberts Pegg; husband, Gilbert Marion Mullinax who died in 1977; son, Larry Mullinax; and sister, Pearl Phillips. Surviving are daughters, JoAnn Shelton and husband Doyle, and Jean Ann Simpson and husband Daniel; sister, JoAnn Ingle; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Roy McPeters and Reverend Daniel Ingle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
