Magalene Crawford Buckner

WEAVERVILLE - Magalene Crawford Buckner, age 86, of 80 McDaris Cove Road in the Beech Community died Saturday, September 14, 2013. Mrs. Buckner was born July 16, 1927 in Pineville, KY to the late Dewey and Mae Sharp Crawford. Mrs. Buckner was also preceded in death by daughter, Linda Prewitt and grandson, Donald R. Harwood. Mrs. Buckner was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Dewey Buckner, Jr.; son, Jeff Buckner and wife Linda; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, and Kimberly Buckner. Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 16, 2013, in West Memorial Park, with Rev. Philip Wilson officiating.
