MARGARET NETA BIGGS
WOODFIN – Margaret Neta Biggs, age 88 of Weaverville Hwy. went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Mrs. Biggs was born July 12, 1928 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a loving mother. Her life revolved around family, she dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret was a daughter to the late James Lee and Lena Harwood Burnette. She formerly attended Long’s Chapel Baptist Church and later attended Mt. Sheba Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Biggs was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wincie Lee Biggs, who died in 2012; brothers, Furman, John and Robert Burnette; sisters, Lucille McKin, Mae Moran, Christine Stewart; son-in-law, Harry Kemp; and granddaughter, Jessica McKinney.
Surviving are her daughters, Lanell Hensley and husband Junior, LaVada Kemp, Brenda McKinney and husband David; son, David Biggs; grandchildren, Danny Hensley and wife Melissa, Jeremy Hensley and wife Amanda, David McKinney and fiancée Kristi, Selena McKinney, Zachary Kemp and wife Lindsey, Gregory Kemp and fiancée Kaylee, Phillip Kemp and wife Amanda, Alan Biggs; and 17 great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverends James Hutchinson and Troy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
At other times the family will be at her residence.
