MARGARET LOUISE CARVER HYATT WEAVERVILLE - Margaret Louise Carver Hyatt, age 85, of Long's Chapel Road, died Sunday, May 18, 2014. Mrs. Hyatt was born August 6, 1928, in McDowell County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Margaret retired from Square D and was a longtime member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Belle Kelly Carver and wife of the late Marshall Glenn Hyatt who died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Miles R. Hyatt and Louis Hyatt. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Leslie and husband Ronnie of Weaverville; son, Eddie Hyatt of Weaverville; sisters, Irene Werts of Ft. McCoy, FL, Janet Carver of Asheville, Dr. Penny Moore of Seneca, SC, and Brenda Rumple of Hendersonville; brothers, Herman Carver of Orange Park, FL, and Edward Carver of Old Fort; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Roy McPeters officiating. Burial will be in Long's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
