Margaret Hollifield

WEAVERVILLE—Margaret Hollifield, age 79, of 268 Herron Cove Rd., died Thursday, September 6, 2012. Miss Hollifield was born December 26, 1932, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She formerly worked at Hadley's of Weaverville and Newfound Industries. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Bertha Mae Hollifield; and brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence and Richard. Surviving are her brothers, Leonard Hollifield of Weaverville and Zane Hollifield and wife Judy of Travelers Rest, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Troy Rogers officiating.
