Margie Marie Davis Gentry

ASHEVILLE—Margie Marie Davis Gentry, age 88, of Asheville died Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Brian Center, Weaverville. Mrs. Gentry was born May 25, 1922, in Buncombe County. She lived in Virginia before moving back to Buncombe County in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Minnie DeBruhl Davis; husband, Kermit Gentry who died in 1997; and seven siblings. Surviving are her caregiver and niece, Judy Dillingham and her husband Hoyte of Barnardsville, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gentry's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Steve Conard officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
