Marguerite Waters

MARGUERITE WATERS WEAVERVILLE - Marguerite Waters, age 93, of Weaverville, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. Mrs. Waters was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Henrico County, VA. and was a resident of Buncombe County since 1986. She was a resident of Raleigh for most of her life. Marguerite was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteering and being active in her communities. She was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Alma W. Schmidt Wittel, and wife of the late William G. Waters, who died in 1997. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Walter "Buddy"; Angus; Frederick; Buck; and Edward Wittel. Surviving are her sons, Bill and Chuck Waters, both of Weaverville; David Waters and wife Sherry of Waynesville; brother, Allen Wittel of St. Petersburg, FL,; and grandchild Devon Nichole Waters of Houston, TX. Private inurnment will be at the Columbarium of St. Marks Lutheran Church.
