Marie Gregg Bowlin

WEAVERVILLE—Marie Gregg Bowlin, age 73, of 9 Phoenix Cove Road, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011. Mrs. Bowlin was born January 30, 1938 in Buncombe County. She was the daughter of Jettie Hale Gregg of Weaverville and the late Alvin Ferris Gregg. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Alton Bowlin; daughters, Karen Hutchinson and husband Jay W. of Leicester, Wilma Boone of Fletcher and Vickie Bowlin of Weaverville; son, Bruce Bowlin of Weaverville; sisters, Eula Leighton and Carolyn Gregg both of Weaverville; brothers, Robert, James and Ronnie Gregg all of Weaverville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Bowlin's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. Bobby Leighton, Rev. Phillip Wilson and grandson, Rev. Lee Boone officiating. Burial will be in Maney Branch Cemetery, Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
