Martha Lynne Wiley LeClerg

WEAVERVILLE—Martha Lynne Wiley LeClerg, age 74, of Weaverville, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, after an extended illness. Mrs. LeClerg was born April 20, 1937, in Mississippi and was a resident of Buncombe County since 1972. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville and was active in the church choir. She loved to hike, garden, and entertain. Arts and crafts were her passion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Edna Lynne Pollard Wiley; and brother, "Hank" Benjamin Franklin Wiley, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Phylis Lynne McGeary and husband John of Weaverville; son, Franklin Erwin LeClerg and wife Rhonda of Columbia, S.C.; and grandchildren, Joshua Louis and Sarah May. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011, in First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville, with Rev. Skip Gillikin officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service. West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
