Mary Jane Foures

d. January 23, 2013

ASHEVILLE—Mary Jane Foures passed away and began a new journey on January 23, 2013. She was born Mary Jane Veta Mason in Pasco, Washington on October 17, 1922. Her parents were Roy and Veta Mason. She had a sister, Evelyn, and a brother, Richard. Her children are Suzanne Hanrahan, Colette Guillebeau, and Christopher Foures. She has a nephew, Joseph Guillebeau. Mary Jane was one of those magical people you rarely meet. She was always smiling. She was always a positive, thoughtful friend. Mary Jane has been a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. As the years passed, she only became sweeter and wiser. When she was young, she explored the country, as she grew older, she explored existence. She was always driven to find Truth and the nature of God, and find it she did. More than that, she lived her Truth and that will be her lasting inspiration for those surviving her. She absolutely loved Asheville and its diversity. She wanted to be nowhere else. She worked for attorney Bentley Leonard since 1983. She still worked weekends and went to classes at UNCA year-round. If she could have, she would have worked full time. Her age began to slow her down, but not much. She always said, "You have to deal with what you've got." Her graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville. West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville is in charge of arrangements. For those who desire, condolences may be offered to the family under Mrs. Foures' obituary at www.WestFamilyFuneralServices.com.
