Mary Louise Kuczek

ASHEVILLE - Mary Louise "Marylou" Kuczek, age 89, of Josie Lane, Asheville passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her children on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Mrs. Kuczek was born November 10, 1925 in Dearborn, MI to the late Frank Varty and Marie Etta Hogan Varty. A loving, devoted mother and grandmother, Marylou was an inspiration to all. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Anthony J. Kuczek, a World War II Veteran, who died in 2011. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Marie Kuczek of Charlotte; sons, Robert Kuczek and Janice Boyt, of Anchorage, AK, Michael Kuczek and wife Linda, of Harshaw, WI, and Dan Kuczek and wife Carol of White Lake, MI; brother, Bob Varty and wife Eleanor, of Livonia, MI; brother-in-law, Chester Kuczek; grandchildren, Jason Kuczek and Andrena Mendez, and Ryan Kuczek and wife Jane. Her funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, in St. Eugene Catholic Church, 72 Culvern St., Asheville, with Father Patrick Cahill officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain. Flowers are welcome.
