Mary Elizabeth Langford

WEAVERVILLE– Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Langford, age 89, of Weaverville, died Monday, November 19, 2018. Lib was born December 15, 1928 on Morgan Branch Rd. in Weaverville to the late William Arthur and Sara Elizabeth “Lizzie” Gentry Bruce. She was a Christian lady who loved God, Jesus, family, church family and her community; in that order. Lib was a lifelong member of Morgan Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Frank Langford; daughters Frankie Marshbanks of Weaverville, and Beth Rogers and husband Monty of Leicester; grandchildren, Christina Aardema and husband Sean, Sara Barrier and husband John, Andrew Rogers and wife Cassie, and Haley Seager and husband Chris; and five great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Morgan Hill Baptist Church, Weaverville. Reverends Larry Sprinkle and Chris Seager will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Flowers are welcome. When departing from family and friends, Lib would say “If I don’t see you again on earth, I’ll see you in Heaven”.
