Mary Oliveti

Mary Oliveti, age 83, of Weaverville, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, under home hospice care. She was born on October 8, 1940, in the Bronx, New York. She was also a resident of Texas from 2007 before moving to North Carolina 2021.

Ms. Oliveti earned her BA in Mathematics from Hunter College in 1962. After graduation she went to work for ATT in NYC, then joined a computer consulting firm whose client was the National Football League. She consulted for the National Football League from the mid 1970’s to 1993, when she was hired as the first woman Vice President of Information Technologies for the National Football League. 

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Oliveti; she is also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Frank Mariani. 

Surviving her are sisters, Jeanette Mariani and Theresa Oliveti; brother, Joseph J. Oliveti and his wife, Suzanne Oliveti; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. 

The memorial service will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY 10536 with Father Vailancourt officiating. The Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Immediately following the Mass an Inurnment will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530. A luncheon will be held immediately following the inurnment.
