MARY LANDERS RAMSEY MARSHALL/WEAVERVILLE - Mary Landers Ramsey, age 82 of Marshall and Weaverville died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Brian Center. Ms. Ramsey was born September 27, 1932 in Madison County where she was a resident for most of her life. She owned and operated Mary's Restaurant for over twenty years and managed delis for Joe Eblen, Claude Taylor and Jack Shepherd. She is a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Margaret Kistler Landers. Surviving are her sons, Mackey Ramsey and wife Nan of Eatonton, GA, Jimmie Ramsey and wife Tiawana of Marshall; brother, Andrew Jackson "Boots" Landers, Jr. of Marshall; sister, Eloise Roberts and husband Terrell of Aiken, SC; and close friend Joyce Ingle. Her service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Roy Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Landers Cemetery, Marshall.
