Mary Lucille Wilson

WOODFIN—Miss Mary Lucille Wilson, age 86, of Cottage Street, died Sunday, December 16, 2012. Miss Wilson was born November 4, 1926, in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Lucille was a retired nurse's aid from Brooks-Howell Nursing Home and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church in Yancey County. She was a daughter of the late Elzie Leon and Mae Maney Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Denzine, Kathleen Allen and brothers, Ralph, Zack, Frank and Herman Wilson. Surviving are her sister, Myrtle Stepp of Woodfin and brother, Otis Wilson of Flat Rock. Miss Wilson's graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory in Asheville, with the Rev. Steve Conard officiating.
