Max Mull, 73, of 6 Claircastle Drive died Thursday, November 15, 2007.
Max was born in Buncombe County on January 15, 1934 to the late John and Lula Garrison Mull. A veteran of the United States Air Force he served from 1951 until 1955. Max retired from Eckerd's Drug Stores after 25 years of service and was the Co-owner of Mulls Supermarket from 1982 until 1993. An avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Max also loved listening to southern gospel music. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Mull.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Edna Buckner Mull; daughter, Kim Mull; sons, Stan Mull, Ken Mull and his wife Lynn, Dale Mull and his wife Leanne; brothers, Vernon Mull of Greensboro and J.C. Mull of Sun City West, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville, with Rev. Jerry Jamerson and Joe Brown officiating.
Burial will be in West Memorial Park at a later date.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home until 8:30 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the residence and friends are welcome at anytime.
