Melissa K. Jamerson

Melissa K. Jamerson, age 52, of 179 McKinney Rd., died Monday, June 11, 2012. Ms. Jamerson was born October 5, 1959, in Mecklenburg County and was a resident of Buncombe County since 1991. She enjoyed her word search, puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth L. and Phyllis Russell Jamerson, and her lifelong partner, William M. "Buddy" Wright, Jr. Surviving are her children, Crystal J. Robinson, Josh Ellis, and Wayne R. Wright; step-children, William Marshall Wright, Jennifer Lynn Paul, and Michelle Wright Bray; caregiver, Martin Lawlor; brothers, Kenny Lloyd Jamerson and Kevin Lynn Jamerson; and 15 grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date. West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville is assisting her family.
