Merion Arrington

MERION "ED" ARRINGTON CANDLER- Merion Edward "Ed" Arrington, age 76, of Candler died Thursday, January 23, 2014. Mr. Arrington was born September 29, 1937 in Buncombe County to the late C. C. "Lum" and Evelyn Evans Arrington. Also preceding him in death are his brothers, Jim, Bill and Coy Arrington. Mr. Arrington retired from Biltmore Forest Country Club and was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving are his daughter, Carolyn Mathis and husband Arvin; sons, David Arrington and wife, Maria, Coy Arrington and wife Carolyn, Timothy Arrington, Joseph Arrington and wife Lisa, Steven Arrington and wife Valerie; sister, Thelma Arrington and brother, Neil Arrington; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and former wives, Patsy Arrington and Carolyn Davis. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2014, in Barnardsville Church of God with Reverend Daniel G. Reid officiating.
