Michael Gray Clark

WEAVERVILLE – Michael Gray Clark, age 50, of Weaverville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 2, 2024, after a period of declining health. Mike was born on November 5, 1973, in Buncombe County where he lived all his life. He was the son of James Ronald and Frances Louise Gray Clark.

Michael was employed as an engineer with the N.C.D.O.T. He loved his family. He never met a stranger, enjoyed telling stories, golf and fishing. He loved watching his girls play sports and was a N. C. State fan.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Emily Pennell Clark; two daughters, Maggie Clark, age 12 and Josie Clark, age 8; sister, Lori Clark Denton and husband Levi, and their children, Nora and Samuel; mother-in-law, Hannah Buckner; and father-in-law, Dale Pennell.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Weaverville Community Center.
