Miles R. Hyatt

WEAVERVILLE—Miles R. Hyatt, age 54, of 38 Long's Chapel Road died Saturday, November 10, 2012. Miles was born August 18, 1958 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. A self-employed handyman, Miles enjoyed fishing. He was the son of Margaret Carver Hyatt and the late Marshall Glenn Hyatt. Surviving in addition to his mother is his son, Louis Dale Hyatt; the mother of Louis, Glenda Hyatt Lewis and her husband, Mark; sister, Glenda H. Leslie and husband, Ronnie; and brother, Eddie Hyatt, all of Weaverville; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. Roy McPeters officiating. Burial will be in Long's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30—2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
