MINNIE FISHER MCCORMICK
MARSHALL – Minnie Fisher McCormick, age 90, of Marshall went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. McCormick was born May 3, 1925 in Madison County where she had lived all of her life. She was a graduate of Warren Wilson College and owner of Bowman Hardware in Marshall. She walked a path that made it easy to see where she was headed and worked with her own hands to provide a home and food for her family though the Lord’s guidance. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie Moore Fisher and wife of the late Ralph McCormick who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James and John Fisher; sister, Nola Worley; and special aunt, Liza Plemmons.
Surviving are her son, Todd McCormick; daughters, Cheryl Metcalf and husband Randall, and Kathy McCormick; grandchildren, Lindsey Dills and husband Charles; great grandsons, Drayan and Taygun Dills; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Chris Willett officiating. Burial will be in Bowman-Rector Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the funeral home.
