WEAVERVILLE– Nancy Hay Redman of Weaverville, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Mrs. Redman was born February 19, 1938 in Jackson County, Michigan to the late Forrest and Mabel White Hay. She was a loving and faithful wife, loving mother and mother-in-law. She loved her sons-in-law and daughters in-law as if they were her own children. Nancy was a loving nurse to her preemies while working in the NICU at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Weaverville where she was very involved in the Senior Meal program. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Redman, Sr. who died in 2011; son, Forrest Charles Redman; and brother, Buzz Hay.
Surviving are her daughters, Pamela Smith and husband Randall of Leslie, MI, Theresa Hamel and husband Dean of Harrisburg, VA, and Sue Brown and husband Russell of Weaverville; son, Harold E. Redman, Jr. and wife Connie of Evart MI, and daughter-in-law, Josephine Redman of Lapeer, MI.; seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday August 11, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend David Crocker will officiate. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park, Weaverville.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday August 10, 2018 at the funeral home.
